Monday Made It: Week 6

It's that time again! Time for Monday Made It with Tara from 4th Grade Frolics!

I have got to tell you.. this is my FAVORITE linky in the entire world. I love how it inspires me to not only be crafty, but to get up and move and do things instead of just saying I'll do them eventually..

NOPE. Not with this linky. It puts me in such a good mood when I read other posts, too! I can feel the energy from people and I love it!

So, needless to say, here goes!
As I was perusing Pinterest one day, I came across this pin (of course) by Cool Mom Tech.

I loved the idea of putting our wifi password onto paper in a picture frame. Our guest room is bright pink. And when I say bright, I mean BRIGHT!!! So, I wanted to make something that would match the decor.
I used a quatrefoil background paper and then a bright pink frame to tie in the colors. I used a few KG fonts and typed it up! It's now hanging in the guest room and looks tiny on the wall… but I love it!!
Keeping with the theme of printables from Pinterest, I then came across a pin with a quote by the character Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl.
{There wasn't a link to a blog or anything… just a dead-end picture with a great quote}

Well, I wanted to cutesy it up and make it match the color in my craft room. My craft room is that mint green, so I went with green, blue, and white!
I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out. It's so pretty, fun, and a great quote to keep my mind on the goal :)
Finally, I needed a way to keep myself organized with all the projects I want to complete. I had no idea how to make sure I got all my projects written down and remembered what they may look like.

I initially had all my projects written on a whiteboard, but it wasn't very pretty.

Cue my "PINSPIRED PROJECTS" board!
I love the way it turned out. I have plenty of room to attach pictures of projects or just sticky notes or ANYTHING. I absolutely adore it and love the bright colors in the "pinspired" word. It just makes me happy walking into the room and seeing it!

So, what did YOU make this week? Link up with Tara for Monday Made It - Week 6.

Monday Made It: Week 5

Time for another Monday Made It with Mrs. Tara from 4th Grade Frolics! We're all moved in to our new house, so I now officially have my own craft room!

Here's a rough picture of it:
This is before I organized it and made it look pretty - now it's BEAUTIFUL! And I am in love.

Regardless, in the room, I have not only my desk BUT I also have that table over there in the right of the picture. I needed something to sit on at both my desk and the table… something that was fun and allowed me to sit up high.

On my Instagram account, I gave this sneak peek:
Can ya guess what I might have done?!
Cue my first Monday Made It: the Fabric Covered Stool! :)
This stool was pretty easy to make. The pictures below will describe the supplies needed & the process to go through in order to make your own!

The beautiful thing about this chair is that it could go in the classroom, too! The bright, fun colors make it perfect for an author chair or a share chair! I am in LOVE with it!!

Monday Made It: Week 3

Time to join Mrs. Tara from 4th Grade Frolics for the Monday Made It linky!

I participated this last summer and absolutely loved how motivated it made me. I got things done that I never thought I would!

This summer I needed to do quite a bit of work organizing the files on my computer AND organizing the files in my "real life." So, I'm starting this week and hope it'll continue into the rest of the summer.
My first Monday Made It is my Font & Clipart Binder. There are quite a few people out there that have done something like this (Sara from Smiling in Second Grade and Katie from Teacher to the Core are just a few) and I REALLY needed a way to organize my files on my computer, so I did something very similar!
This is my cover. I used some of my clipart & fonts I had to make it! Cool, huh?? :)
Fonts are arranged by creator & then each font name is typed in THAT font. For example, the font Elephants in Cherry Trees is typed in that font face. It makes it easy to flip through and find the fonts that I'm looking for!
Then, my clipart is arranged by artist. The name is on the left side of the page and then I have 6 sets listed on each page. It printed a bit bigger than I thought it would, but it makes seeing the clipart that much easier!
Some artists, I have clipart that is individual and NOT part of sets. So, those I put the "stock" picture of it and then labeled it below - just like I did with Jessica Weible above!
I also, for each artist that I have clipart from, printed out the digital paper pages. This makes it MUCH easier when looking for the perfect paper for a project that I work on!
I printed EVERY single artist's/creator's things I have on my computer and it's all in this one binder! It's got a spine that matches the cover so when it's sitting on a shelf in my craft room, I can reach over, flip to the page I need, and then put it right back.

It's BEAUTIFUL and I am in love with it! How do you keep your files straight??
Number two is a PDF file I created of a multiplication activity for sale on TPT. I am in LOVE with the clipart used... thanks to the beautiful creation by Krista Wallden (Creative Clips)!
This baby was a labor of my love (oh man, was I OCD about the watermelon seeds!!) and I am SO happy with how it turned out. My students continuously needed help with multiplication, so what better way to incorporate multiplication with some delicious watermelon!
The pack comes with student directions AND teacher directions. This is to help when you put this activity in a math center or have it as a group activity!
The cards are very simple and easy to read - count the seeds on the left and multiply by the seeds on the right. The answer key coordinates right alongside the cards. There's a full sheet answer key and half sheet (pictured above) to help save on paper if you'd like.

This pack also makes a fun "write the room" activity, which is how we used it in our classroom. I hung up the cards throughout the room and students walked from spot to spot trying to find the cards in order. Working on those numerical order skills, too! :)

That's all I've got for ya this week! Next week, it's going to be tough since we're in the midst of a move - we move into our new house on Sunday and I have NOTHING packed!! But, I'll try my best to bring you some goodies :) if not, check out Tara's linky anyway!!

See y'all soon!

Monday Made It - {Sparkly Desk Bell}

I'M BAAAAACK!

It's been a busy couple of weeks and I've got a lot of things done - finished two summer courses last Friday, spent a couple of days with my sister the weekend before that, and worked on getting resumes and cover letters ready for all the schools within my district for interview time!! :)

It's been a little while since I participated in my own Super Summer Schedule BUT I'm back and on track!

So, now it's time for Monday Made It with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics!
This week, I intended to make a couple of things. But, kind of got caught up so I'm going to show you my ONE Monday Made It!
I'm part of a new group here in my town called Bunco Babes. I've never, ever played Bunco in my life, but a bunch of us military gals are going to get together and play at least once a month. I am SO excited and cannot wait to learn this fantastic game as well as meet a bunch of other great women.

But, since I'm hosting with another gal, we realized we needed some kind of bell or noise maker or something to make noise with when someone claims BUNCO! So what did I do?

I went out and got a desk bell, some rhinestones, and got to work!

I made a BEDAZZLED DESK BELL!!! :)

Oh yeah! How awesome, huh? Granted, it's not as great as all those ones out there, but it's something I did! Woohoo! I'm thinking I'm going to take it into my classroom, too. Incorporate it some way or another. Any ideas?

So, what did you make this week?? Head over to Tara's blog and link up for the Monday Made It!

Promise next week I'll have some more projects :)

I'll see y'all tomorrow for Teacher Product Tuesday!

Winners Day 3 and 4 & Monday Made It {Party Puffs}

OH man, what a weekend! Swimming and sun, dehydration, research papers, homework... LOADS of sleep. It's been a long one but I am BACK.

And I owe you all TWO announcements of winners, so it's my pleasure to announce...

Congrats Lori & Robin! An e-mail has been sent to both of these ladies so they're going to have LOADS and LOADS of goodies being sent their way and I couldn't be more excited!

So, since I missed my Summer Reading Sunday, I'm going to have to make it up on Wild Card Wednesday this week... I spent OVER 11 hours on my research paper yesterday. ELEVEN HOURS. Yep... it was loads of fun. Come Wednesday, you'll catch a glimpse of some of my favorite reads :)

But now, it's time for..
Mondays are my favorite when it comes to summertime. During the school year... ehhh not so much. But when summer starts, AH, Mondays are like music to my ears!

How do you keep classroom management issues to a minimum in your classroom? Me, I like to use positive reinforcement and sometimes, I like to use rewards. So, for the reward portion, I decided I wanted to make a party reward jar.

I have a Cricut machine that I use when scrapbooking and decided to buy some vinyl when I was at The Lob (which is slang for Hobby Lobby). I also bought a jar and some pom poms. All of which were on sale. Heck yes!
I decided to use all this to make a fuzzy pom pom reward jar. I couldn't think of a creative name so I decided to label it with "Party Puffs."

First, cut out what words you want on your vinyl. I chose black vinyl because it would be best seen against all the bright colors of the pom poms.
Once you've got what you want cut out, start peeling off the backing and place on your jar in the order you want!
Tada! All finished!
Students will earn pom poms (or puffs) when they are behaving as they should (listening to directions, are on task, not misbehaving, were great when subs were here while I was out, etc.), receive a compliment from another staff member, and are exhibiting other such classroom behaviors.

The pom poms will start out in a plain jar will be transferred to the "Party Pals" jar. There are 100 pom poms and all pom poms must be in the jar in order to receive the party. It's an incentive for them to want to behave. BUT, pom poms can also be taken away... which is the classroom management - positive negative part.

But, I know that using rewards ALL. THE. TIME. is not the best resource. This is why I will not utilize ONLY this jar as my classroom management system, but I will use it as something that is fun AND rewarding AND engaging for my students. Just something a little extra :)

So, what did YOU make this week??
