Plug Plug Plug :)

First off, I want to thank Brian over at Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings for promoting the crud outta my products and my blog. This man has been one of my biggest supporter besides my momma and my family. He's constantly there when I need him, he listens to me complain, and he's become one of my bloggy BFFs. Beyond that, Brian makes AMAZING products. He puts his heart & soul into all his products and he truly makes everything for the STUDENTS to enjoy. He's got fun games, lots of freebies, and just truly cares about what he does. Please, do me a favor, go stop by his blog & say hello. You will NOT regret meeting this man. He's been a true friend and I am so thankful to have met him.

Hopkins' Hoppin' Happenings

Beyond that, I've been busy busy busy with school and with creating products for my TPT store. So, I wanted to go ahead and do my plug here :) Please check out the things I've got in my store - if there's anything I can do for ya, please let me know!

I created this Pumpkin Parts of Speech Sorting Game for the classroom. The objective is that students sort the pumpkins under the proper ghost, each of which are labeled with specific parts of speech (noun, verb, & adjective). Once students sort the pumpkins under the correct ghost, they then can complete the worksheet at the end. This is just a "sorting sheet" where they write all the words they found under the correct column, giving them more practice.

There are a total of 12 nouns, 12 verbs, and 12 adjectives. This is a quick little activity that can be done in the literacy center or after work has been completed and you need an activity to hold students over until you start the next activity.  You could also use this for an assessment to see if students understand the differences between the types of speech.

This pack is listed in my store for $1.50. You can't beat that!

Second, I created these Fall Themed Sentence Builders for the classroom! I absolutely LOVE the way they turned out. In the pack, the pumpkins represent nouns, ghosts represent verbs, and the leaves represent adjectives. This is a simple starting out activity to get students to include all three parts of speech in their sentences.

What students do is take one of each object (pumpkin, ghost, leaf) and then set them out in front of them. Then, they look at what they picked. For example, below are what I chose out of the pile for this sentence.

So, I would need to make a sentence with AT LEAST these words in it. Of course, you can change the verb to whatever tense you would like, but here's the sentence I came up with:

The tall, tall tree shook its branches while I stood below and caught every single apple before it hit the ground.

Then, at the top of my sheet, I would draw a picture to represent my sentence. This is a great activity to get students to practice their writing skills and a way to get them to include different parts of speech in their sentences. Basically, a great way to have students extend their sentences to add more detail!

This pack is listed in my store for $2.00. Included is a sheet for your students with lined paper, a spot for a picture, as well as the cards. There are 36 nouns, 36 verbs, and 36 adjectives - the possibilities are nearly endless! You can't beat that!

Finally, my Wanted Poster Freebie has been flyin' off the wall! It's floating around Pinterest and I'm like a proud momma! So, I took the advice of my close friend, Brian, and created a graphic organizer pack for the classroom. Included in this pack is a whopping TWENTY-TWO different types of graphic organizers for the classroom.

There are some with beginning, middle, and end, a Venn-diagram, cause and effect, flow charts, and so on! I made them with the Wanted Poster in mind, making sure to create a variety of graphic organizers. I plan to add more as time goes on per the requests/comments/feedback from those who purchase. I sincerely hope that you all can use them in your classrooms.

This pack is listed in my store for $5.00. That's roughly 23 cents per organizer. Not even a quarter!! Now, you REALLY can't beat that!

That's all I've got for ya. I hope you all are liking the products I come up with! Please let me know if there's anything you would like for me to make. I LOVE LOVE LOVE requests!

Oh yeah, tomorrow is our OHIO BLOGGER MEET-UP! I am super excited and cannot wait to meet all the fantastic people attending.

OH. PS. If you've made it down to here, the first THREE PEOPLE to leave your name, a nice little comment, and your e-mail address, I'll send you the Pumpkin Sort & Fall Themed Sentence Builders for following my blog. :)

Have a good day, y'all!

October Currently

Linking up for the October Currently at Farley's blog, Oh Boy 4th Grade. You should probably go link up, too! :)

For the book, it's supposed to be our all time fav October book. I have more than one, but I chose this one specifically because it's monsters. And I love funny monsters! (Monsters, Inc., anyone?!) This book is PERFECT for reading during Halloween time, as it's all about monsters getting their haircut. It's super cute & has some pretty good illustrations. I love it!

I love doing this each month (I missed September... oops) because it shows my focus each month at the beginning. I'm realizing it's the same needing mostly every month so I should PROBABLY get on that today... ok, tomorrow. :)

Have a good day, y'all!

Fall Into Fall Swap

Another swap :) Can ya tell I love these things?! This time, the swap was a "Fall Into Fall" swap that Neely from A Complete Waste of Makeup, Erin from Everything According to Erin, and Tracy from Then I Got To Thinking hosted! The goal was to send some things that remind you of fall to your swap partner.
Well, I was paired up with Nicole from The Southbay Newlyweds Plus One. And before I continue, you should probably go check out her blog AND her abso-freaking-lutely adorable baby boy, Andrew. Anyway, she found out what I liked and man, did she do good! We all know I love crafts (Monday Made It, anyone?) and that I love cards/stationary/etc.
So, Nicole got me a Days-To-Remember Calendar where I put in my own months and days with either stamps, stickers, etc. to remember days like birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and other important dates! How cool is that? Along with that, she got me some stickers - not sure if this is what she intended them for, but each sticker is going to represent something in the calendar (blue = birthdays, yellow = anniversaries, etc.). I LOVE THIS, NICOLE!
Then, she also got me a Michaels gift card (YES!), a pack of Halloween cards, Bath & Body Works nail files (which has a glare.. I apologize), a hand sanitizer rubber thing to hold my hand sanitizers from Bath & Body, and a cute card. In that card, she gave me a little note to let me go buy my own hand sanitizer because she was not sure how it would ship! Nicole, I love your creativity :)
And that's my Fall Into Fall Swap with the fantastic hosts and an amazing swap partner! Nicole, you did an amazing job and I absolutely love EVERYTHING you got for me. You knew me like the back of your hand and I surely hope you liked what I got you! In order to see what I got Nicole, head on over to her blog to check it out :)

Like I've said on all my other posts, if you EVER get the chance to do a swap (no matter what kind), DO IT. You never know who you will meet, nor do you know what you will get. It's all a surprise, and I absolutely love it!
Have a good day, y'all!

Little Friendly Ghost Link-Up! FREEBIE :)

So, one of my FAVORITE graphic artists, Mel from Graphics From the Pond, has come up with an adorable linky party. She allowed fellow TPT sellers to create a resource using the friendly ghosts clipart she created and then link up so all the products created with these ghosts would be in one place. How sweet is she? Some of the resources are for sale while some of them are actually FREE.

The resource I chose to create is a matching game with uppercase alphabet and lowercase alphabet. Then, the students do a sort on the pages included at the end of the matching game where they put uppercase alphabet letters under the "UPPERCASE" column and the lowercase alphabet letters under the "LOWERCASE" column. Something short and sweet - but I definitely wanted to showcase the absolutely adorable clipart. This would obviously be for the younger students that are beginning to work on letter recognition and their alphabet skills.

Please click on the picture above to be taken to the product in my TPT store. The Friendly Ghost ABC Matching Game is a FREEBIE for you :)  I hope that you enjoy it and can use it in your classroom! Don't forget to check out the linky over at Mel's blog - you do NOT want to miss this one.

Also linking this up with the first Friday Freebie link up of October at Teaching Blog Addict! :)

Bloggy Scavenger Hunt

SO, I decided to participate in this really cool thing called a bloggy scavenger hunt. Mrs. White from Little Homemade Housewife & 6 co-hosts came up with some really cool ideas to look for on blogs! Below are my posts/bloggers I found based upon the prompts required of us for the hunt :)

WILD - 1 free slot to highlight any post or blogger you want.

For this category, I'm choosing to highlight a bloggy friend named Kate. She's one of the sweetest, most hard working, honest, fun, caring people I have ever met. She blogs over at EduKate & Inspire. Some of the things that I love reading about her is about her trip to Ghana, all the technology she incorporates into her classroom, and other things.

POST - you've read more than once.

If you check out the blogs I read, I mostly read educational blogs. I've also become a seller on Teachers Pay Teachers, where teachers upload original lesson plans that other teachers can download or purchase for small amounts and use over and over again. Anyways, I always have to check out different websites for clipart and for ways to create visually appealing products. SO, a post that I have read more than once is over at Lyndsey's blog, A Year of Many Firsts. She created a post in mid-June titled, "Tips on Creating Visually Appealing Activities." I click back over to this post often to find some useful links and tips. If you're a teacher seller, this is for you :)

PICTURE - one goofy shot of one of your fav. bloggers.

One of my favorite bloggers that I love to read - you'll see her later in this list, too - who takes the prettiest AND goofiest pictures is Erin at Living in Yellow. She's someone I recently started following through a giveaway or something, but I absolutely love everything she does. She's so real yet silly and fun. She also exudes confidence - jealous of that! She's also really pretty... just sayin'.

Her caption under this photo (and what the blog post was about) was she just bought a house by the water - so this is her excited face. She's funny, I know!

RECIPE - favorite recipe find.

This was a toughy. I have so, so, so many different recipes that I want to try. But, I think my favorite recipe is the Monkey Bread Muffins from Audrey's blog, Break It, Make It, or Bake It. Do these not look freaking fantastic? I know I love anything sweet, but cinnamon and sugar and dough - perfect.

CRAFT/FASHION - most creative craft or fashion post.

Another toughy! I think my favorite, all time craft post has to be from Lindsay from Living With Lindsay. It's actually a wreath that you could use all year long, but I'd use for the Fall. I actually made the wreath for a swap with my partner, KC. I LOVED the way it turned out and the tutorial was absolutely spot on and to the point - told you exactly what you should do to get it to turn out like the picture. Anyways, it was an easy but fun craft to do, so that's why I love it!

BLOGGER - that could be your BFF if you ever met.

Sara from You.And.Me.Are.We. She has become one of my good friends and I pretty much tell her anything I'd tell a close friend! I love her sense of style, her attitude, confidence, and her silliness! On Sundays, she does this post where her & her husband answer the same questions but in their own way - they are SO real and I am jealous of their honesty & love they have for each other (Cody, step it up!!). She's a great person to get to know and you should be jealous if you don't know her! :)

POST - you strongly relate to/empathize with.

Lauren over at Life. Love. Lauren is currently doing posts about Childhood Cancer Awareness, as September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. I strongly relate to AND empathize with all these posts simply because of the word cancer. My family is plagued with cancer... there are so many different kinds on my Daddy's side and so many different kinds on my Momma's side. I absolutely HATE the word cancer. I think it is the ugliest word in the entire world and I wish it was never here. Daddy died of a cancer. I. HATE. CANCER. To find out more about Childhood Cancer, check out her past few posts. Basically, check out Lauren's blog in general, as I can relate to a lot of her posts!

PICTURE - of a great blogger smile.

I hate taking pictures. I have such a HUGE smile and you see my top teeth more than my bottom. Some days, I like my smile in a picture. Other days, not so much. But when you see Monique, you'll see one of the best smiles you've ever seen. No, I'm not just choosing her cause she's basically my sister in real life, but because she really does have an AMAZING smile. Monique blogs over at Uniquely Monique and she's lots of fun to follow. She doesn't blog as much as she used to, but she's also in college and is busy living her life. Love you girl!

This is just a picture of her from where she dyed her hair from blonde to brunette (which I LOVE) but look at that smile - no effort and she's gorgeous!

POST - that did (or could) make you snort milk.

Told you that you would see Erin again in this post. She is HILARIOUS. I am not kidding. She has such a great sense of humor and is really chill in things that most people would freak out about. For instance, she's made a post about young hustlers. Yes, she's not kidding. This post is not that old, but when I first read it, I could not stop laughing. This is NOT her only post that keeps me giggling like a little girl, but this one is hilarious. An 8 year old tricked her into giving her money for candy, but Erin never got the candy. You have to read the post for yourself by clicking here.

BLOGGER - your "go to" ; for help, advice, a daily read, etc.

When I first started this blogging journey, I was not sure of what to expect. Not only did I meet some of the most amazing, kind-hearted people I've ever met in my life, one stood out like no other. Lisa from Learning is Something to Treasure was there every step of the way (and still is) to help me out when I need help. I can e-mail her and ask a question anytime I have one, ask for advice on a specific subject, and I love all her posts she does. She's absolutely brilliant, kind, and caring, and I could not ask for a better self-appointed "mentor."

SO there you have it! My bloggy scavenger hunt. This was a lot of fun and I'm REALLY happy I joined in - each blogger highlighted above has amazing content on their blog and each blogger has just as an amazing of a personality to follow! I highly suggest you follow each person mentioned above as you will not regret it.

Have a good day, y'all!
