Hi y'all! I'm back with a linky party that you will WANT to link up with. Jessica @ Mrs. Stanford's Class has come up with a linky party about how you plan! We all know (secretly at least) that each and every one of us loves to plan and have things in order... :) With this linky party, there's also a giveaway for a $25.00 certificate to Erin Condren! Check out the site here if you're curious as to what Erin Condren is and who this person might be! Click the picture below to join the linky!
So, how do I plan? Well, I'm gonna tell ya!
I don't teach just yet in my own classroom, so my planning is more geared towards, "How do I plan for my life?" I have so many different calendars and post it notes on everything that I do. First up: my calendars.
During the school year, my calendars are PACKED. I don't have a picture of my calendar because there's nothing on it just yet, but I do have a picture of my iPhone calendar. Here it is:
I put everything from the TV shows I watch to the days bills are due to what errands I need to run. As you can see, today I have to write a thank you card and watch Army Wives! Tomorrow I'll be going to an interview and then shopping for 3 hours. Yes, I have to have an event anymore in order to remember to do ANYTHING. I also put all the dates I have tests or volunteer activities, guest blogging posts, and so forth. Once I start subbing, I'll put each and every day that I sub on here. On the 31st of August and the 1st of September, there's a dot there because I'M GOING TO NORTH CAROLINA!! One last hoorah of a vacation before life starts back up again - there also might be some boy there that I'm going to see :)
I also put all of the above dates/appointments/interviews on my calendar on my computer, too! This way, I have two places to remind me of what I'm doing that day or the next day or the next week/month/year. I seriously am OCD about events... I put them on there for the times I intend to do them at and so forth. I actually do stick to the times on the calendar, too!
SO, that's how I plan! I used to use a hand written calendar type planner, but since my iPhone and my Mac are connected to my hip, I don't need anything but those two babies. They're always there and they both can have reminders set - which I do set them!! :) And, if I happen to miss or skip an event for a day, I can easily move it to a later time or to tomorrow without having to scribble and erase and rewrite again.
Make sure to go link up with Jessica! You might find some ideas on how to plan :)
TPT Product
MY FIRST TPT PRODUCT WAS SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I honestly cannot tell you how excited I am - I texted Cody and said, "Hey guess what? Your girlfriend is an entrepreneur AND a teacher. How about that?!" He was so excited... oh yes. Anyways... I've sold THREE products since the first sale last night and I am so happy. I love how supportive this teaching community is of one another and I just want to let you know how much of an inspiration each and every one of you are to me!
Last but not least, I made a new resource using the freebies from Nikki @ Melonheadz Illustrating. It's her Whatizit series, so I had to do something fun with them! I created a coupon set for the classroom with inspiration from other various resources I've seen floating around the bloggy and Pinterest world.
Go by my TPT store & check it out! It's also SALE DAY at TPT where you can get up to 28% off your total purchase! Make sure you go check it out & support your fellow teachers :)
I cannot wait to show you my Monday Made It tomorrow - it was SUPER simple and SUPER cute!
Have a good day, y'all!
Congrats on selling your first products!
